OUR MISSION

We are on the farmer’s side. Structurally, not just philosophically.

UnCommon Energy was built with one purpose: to make sure agricultural landowners capture the full value of their land in the energy economy — and wherever possible, own what gets built on it.

WHY WE EXIST

Built to Serve the Farmer. No Other Agenda.

Farm families have spent generations building something extraordinary. The land they steward is now at the center of one of the largest economic transitions in American history. Energy developers are competing aggressively for access to that land — and most of the time, they are the only sophisticated party at the table.

UnCommon Energy exists to change that. We believe the people who steward the land should be the ones who benefit from it. Not just through a lease check, but through ownership of the assets built on their ground when that is achievable.

Our goal is not just to help farm families survive the energy transition. It is to make sure they come out of it owning more than they started with.

THE STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE

Farmer-Backed Means Something Different

UnCommon Energy is a subsidiary of UnCommon Farms, which is backed by farmer investors. That ownership structure is not incidental. It means the company’s interests are fundamentally aligned with the farmer — not with outside capital looking for a return.

We are not a developer. We do not build projects to own them on behalf of outside investors. We are not a broker. We do not earn referral fees. We do not have a financial stake in whether any particular deal gets done.

That means when we tell you a deal makes sense, you can trust it. And when we tell you to walk away, you can trust that too.

If a deal does not make sense for the farmer, we will say so.

This is not a slogan. It is the foundation of how we operate. Every engagement, every assessment, every recommendation is built on this commitment. If the numbers do not work for your family, we will tell you directly — and help you understand why.

“The land is theirs. The value that land creates should be theirs too. Every farmer deserves to know what their ground is worth in today’s energy market and to have someone in their corner who will walk away from a deal that does not serve them.”

— Jack Scatizzi, Managing Director, UnCommon Energy
